I (Nikole) found the walkable city charming and beautiful. Starting with a piano in the train terminal that Mia played, the Charles Bridge, to seeing Frank Gehry’s Dancing House, I felt like my chin was constantly on the ground and my mind exploding.
We stayed at Adam’s apartment, which had charming curved walls and was walking distance to the main sites. We walked along Charles Bridge, and after Mia donated to musical buskers while dancing a jig and rubbed a statue for good luck, she got her portrait drawn precisely to represent her, which filled her with pride; although, it was so cold we had to find a warm place when the artist finished.
So, we found a bookstore, and Mia got a book called The Midnighters by Hana Tooke, which was set in Prague in the late 1800s, and Patch got The Revenge of the Tipping Point by Malcom Gladwell. Then it was time to explore the Old Town Square and see the Astronomical Clock chime with the procession of the 12 apostles. Finally, we had to get fuzzy mittens for Mia and scarves for Nikole and Mia because we were too cold! Lastly, we explored the Prague Castle and were enamored with Frank Gehry's Dancing House.
